Hello Everyone!
Have not posted for a bit here. Mainly because the rivers are far too high right now due to the runoff.
We saw that Tuesday May 8th looked like it was going to be a beautiful day, and so we decided to test our luck on the Raven. The Raven is a beautiful little river that has handsome brown trout as rewards. It is a very challenging little river; very precise casting is a must due to the abundance of willows. It is challenging to say the least, but wow... the rewards are immense. Very big, and very beautiful brown trout lurking in this river.
When we first got there first thing we saw was how bad the visibility in the river was. It was very dirty and riddled with mud. We saw nothing rise all day, and so we decided to stream. We attached a white zonker and an olive and yellow wooly bugger. We didn't have much luck throughout the first half of the day, but as soon as the clock hit about 3 we had a few hits. We managed to land a nice young brown trout, and a couple other very small browns.
It was great to just get out there. Forget about the daily grind and just unwind in the serenity of the meadows and forests. That's what fishing is all about. For just one day forget about your phone that consumes you, forget about the stresses of your job, forget about how unruly society can be. It's just you, your friends, and nature. Bliss. Never take these days for granted.
Fish On!!!
